5 Second Animal LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the 5 Second Animal mobile application. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

WHAT WE COLLECT

Account data:

Device identifier (a random ID unique to your device)
Username (you choose this)
Display name (optional)
Avatar (a drawing you create)

Gameplay data:

Drawings you submit during games
Prompts you type in prompt mode
Votes you cast
Room membership and game history

Analytics data (via Firebase Analytics):

App version, platform (iOS/Android), OS version
Timezone and language setting
Game events (rounds played, votes cast, prompts used)
No personally identifiable information is sent to analytics

Advertising data (via Google AdMob):

Ad interactions (requested, loaded, completed)
AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalization per Google's privacy policy

WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT

IP addresses
Location data
Contacts
Photos (beyond drawings you create in-app)
Email address (we don't require one)

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

To provide the game experience (matchmaking, scoring, leaderboards)
To display your drawings and avatar to other players in your room
To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns
To show ads (via Google AdMob)

DATA RETENTION

Account data (username, avatar): kept until you request deletion
Game data (drawings, votes, round history): automatically deleted after 90 days
Room data: automatically deleted after 90 days of inactivity
Live game state: automatically expires 2 hours after the game ends

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use the following third-party services that may collect data according to their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase (analytics, crash reporting)
Google AdMob (advertising)
Google Cloud Platform (hosting, storage)

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

5 Second Animal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

DATA DELETION

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Open the app, go to your profile, and tap DELETE ACCOUNT. For questions, email 5secondanimal@gmail.com.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
